Ansu is a venture partner at Wing, where he focuses on investments at the interface of data, computation, and disease therapeutics. He is excited to partner closely with early-stage founders, including academic spin-outs, using his firsthand scientific, clinical, and founder experience to build data-driven therapeutics companies.
Ansu is a physician-scientist by training and a Professor of Pathology and Immunology at Stanford University. He is also an investigator in the Gladstone Institute of Genomic Immunology, the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, and the Stanford Cancer Institute. Ansu's academic research combines expertise in cancer biology, immunology, and high-throughput genomics and computation to discover principles of the immune dysfunction in disease and to translate these discoveries into novel clinical therapeutics. He has previously co-founded several biotechnology companies, including Cartography Biosciences (a Wing portfolio company) and Immunai.
Ansu holds a BS in molecular biology and BA in philosophy from the University of Illinois, an MD and PhD in immunology from Washington University in St.Louis, and completed his clinical residency and postdoctoral training in genetics at Stanford University.
